Hyperion
Aerial dreadnought
Flying PHC dreadnought with enormous anti-ground firepower.
Dossier
What the Hyperion is for.
The Hyperion is an aerial dreadnought and one of the most recognisable PHC units. Stardock’s reveal lists it as “Anti-Ground, Quality,” produced from the Sky Factory, with 7,000 health and 137.1 damage.
An Oxide interview describes the Hyperion as a true flying dreadnought: powerful, scary and challenging to take down. Its value is tied to anti-ground firepower, so the unit asks a specific question of both players — can the PHC keep it alive while it attacks the ground war?
How to use it
- Use it to add heavy fire to a ground push, ideally behind or above a screen that prevents enemy fighters from focusing it.
- Pair it with anti-air coverage and repair; a 7,000-health platform still needs protection from dedicated counters.
- Threaten a flank where the opponent’s anti-air is thin rather than flying directly into a prepared kill zone.
How to answer it
- Dedicated anti-air and interceptors are the obvious answer; the PHC cannot field the Hyperion without investing in it.
- Deny it safe ground targets. If your army disperses and hides under anti-air, the Hyperion’s damage window shrinks.
- If the Hyperion commits deep, focus it; losing a dreadnought is a major setback for a faction built on expensive units.
What we still do not know
- Exact range, anti-air capability, speed and launch-build cost are not included in the publisher’s three-stat reveal.
- The 7,000 health / 137.1 damage values are from February 2026 and may be rebalanced before launch.
